Edited by: Tanya Kovacs on 01/03/2007 09:23:13 I found a strange behaviour with 1.1x - fitted an Astarte with some Rigs and lowslotstuff and saved it to disk. After loading the XML-file again (or simply restarting quickfit) most of the lowslot-modules are gone. I checked the XML-file, they are there. Not sure if this is related to this ship/fitting or if it's a general problem. -- Boost ECM on dedicated ships. Please.

rahzelk: I (like many others) really <3 your tool. But a question: Did you find the final structure for the xml? This was a big issue to me when using the last few versions - I understand the incompatibility when switching from the old qft- to the new xml-files, but the "error during loading process"-messages kinda sucks when loading (xml-!)fittings created with an older version (Will have to try out 1.2, just wanted to ask.) -- Boost ECM on dedicated ships. Please.

Originally by: Neena Valdi IMHO, such projects need to be open-source to not die that easily and get improved more rapidly. Just like EVEMon.
qft.
quickfit was the very first fitting tool at all and standard for quite a while but it had some bugs (wrong stacking, wrong dps and stuff) all the time, they were getting more annoying with each release (latest release is the worst imho, just because of (imho) critical bugs like the character selection. wrong stacking is not as bad as freezing programs) and it took to much time to implement ingame changes.
now there is eft with almost no bugs at all and proper dps-calculation. but if the maker of eft gets bored by his toy and/or leaves the game there is still: nothing. the next one has to start all over again.
i know it sounds ungrateful, its not meant to be. it's just why i would prefer to see this tools as open source. it's a tool for a gaming community, so why no open source?
